Concord Carlisle at Play, Inc.

About
Concord Carlisle at Play, Inc. (Cc at Play) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation created by local citizens who have come together to create better outdoor facilities at Concord-Carlisle High School. We are parents, coaches, athletes and members of the Concord and Carlisle communities.
Whether we are on the field, the sideline, or in the stands, we learn the values of great teamwork, how to lose gracefully, win with humility, work hard, honor commitments, and most importantly live healthy lives. None of these life-long lessons would be possible without access to safe, compliant, first rate athletic facilities. This is the driving force behind CC at Play.
Project Overview
The project constitutes a major renovation of the recreation facilities at CCHS. CCHS has extensive out athletic facilities where 7,000+ high school, youth and adult athletes practice and play each year. It is home to champion teams and champions in the making. This project includes courts and fields displaced by construction as well as those that have fallen into disrepair. The addition of accessible walkways and other amenities, including bathrooms and an amphitheater, will result in a significant aesthetic and functional upgrade to a vital community resource.
Financing
Like the creation of the Beede Center, the upper turf fields and the fields at Ripley, we will pay for the project with a combination of private and public funds. We expect to raise two-thirds of the necessary funds privately and fund one-third through public sources like the Community Preservation Act.
Three Phase Approach
CC at Play engaged Gale Associates, a preeminent athletic facilities design and engineering firm, to develop a renovation plan. The three phase plan covers design, accessibility, maintenance and other key elements. The Regional School Committee approved the plan in December 2013.
